Zest Outdoor Living Eco Hive Composter

Join the massive garden trend of composting at home with Zest's innovative Eco Hive Composter. Unlike traditional compost bins that can be unsightly, this Eco Hive combines functionality with a charming beehive design, making it a beautiful addition to any garden.

Crafted from sustainable slow-grown softwood sourced from responsibly managed forests, this composter boasts a generous 405-litre capacity, ensuring you have ample space for all your organic waste. The open base design harnesses internal heat, accelerating composting and delivering results faster than ever before.

Featuring a dual-opening lid that effortlessly folds back for easy access, you can conveniently churn and cultivate your compost with minimal hassle. Harvesting compost is a breeze thanks to the lower hatch, offering seamless retrieval whenever you need it.

Designed with narrow gaps in the side panels, this composter promotes optimal airflow while keeping rain out, ensuring ideal composting conditions. The angled 'can't cut' boards not only enhance ventilation but also maintain a modern aesthetic while concealing waste within.

Manage temperature and moisture levels effectively with the timber lid and side panels, facilitating heat retention and ventilation essential for rapid decomposition. Plus, the open base encourages the influx of beneficial microorganisms, worms, and slugs from the ground, transforming your waste into nutrient-rich compost effortlessly.

Don't compromise on style or functionality – elevate your composting experience with the Zest Outdoor Living Eco Hive Composter. Embrace sustainability in style and watch your garden thrive!

Please note: This product has been pressure treated and is superior to other treatments due to the preserving agents infused deep into the wood rather than just the surface. Newly pressure-treated wood has a slight green tint which will weather over time and take on a more natural-looking colour without rotting. It should not be painted or coated with any other treatment until at least 6 months after purchase. Knots and cracks are naturally occurring and will not affect the longevity and operation of the product.

Eco Hive Composter by Zest Outdoor Living

Making your own compost at home is now a massive and environmentally beneficial garden trend, but compost bins can be unattractive even if useful and desirable. Zest’s new Eco Hive Composter not only has some super functional advantages, but it is also an attractive addition to any garden. Shaped like a traditional beehive and made from PEFC (PEFC/16-37-1490), sustainable slow grown soft wood from responsibly managed forests, this product is a winner from the start. Add to that a large 405 litre capacity and an open base that helps to produce internal heat which makes compost faster, ensures this is a really practical purchase. The lid opens either side and folds back on itself for ease of removal in order to churn the compost and gardeners can easily harvest the compost from the lower hatch. Narrow gaps in the side panels allows air to circulate in the composter whilst keeping the rain out. The angled ‘cant cut’ timber boards keeps the waste inside hidden and out of sight as well as having a more modern aesthetic and aids ventilation. The timber lid and side panels help to manage the temperature and moisture content, retaining the heat and ventilating the compost– which is needed in order to speed up decomposition. The open base allows micro-organisms, worms and slugs from the ground to get into the waste heap and help to break it down into top quality compost.
