Powered by Makita’s 18V LXT battery system, this cordless power tool features a highly efficient brushless motor that improves runtime while reducing wear on internal components. This helps the grinder run cooler and maintain consistent performance during demanding tasks.
The grinder offers variable speeds from 3,000 to 8,500rpm, allowing you to adjust the cutting or grinding speed depending on the material. Makita’s ADT (Automatic Torque Drive Technology) automatically adjusts torque and speed during operation, helping maintain power when the tool encounters tougher resistance.
For additional safety, the grinder is equipped with Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT), which shuts down the motor if the disc suddenly stops rotating. This helps reduce the risk of kickback when working with tougher materials. The electric brake also stops the disc quickly after releasing the trigger, improving safety and efficiency between tasks.
Built with durability in mind, XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) improves resistance against dust and moisture, helping the grinder perform reliably in harsher working conditions. The soft start function ensures smoother start-ups for better control, while the anti-restart feature helps prevent accidental start-up after a battery change.
The compact and lightweight design makes the tool comfortable to use during longer jobs. A side grip handle that can be positioned on either side improves control and stability, while the spindle lock allows for quicker and easier wheel changes. The grinder can also connect to a dust extraction system, helping keep workspaces cleaner during heavy grinding.
A 3-stage LED indicator provides useful feedback on battery charge level, overheating, and overload status, helping you monitor the tool while working. The included wheel cover offers added protection against debris should a wheel break during use.

If your order is under £75, a small delivery charge of £3.99, £5.99 or £9.95 will apply depending on the size and weight of the order.
Big and bulky items may be delivered in a couple of different ways:
On a pallet (kerbside only) - our courier will contact you to organise a day you'll be home for delivery.
With a 2-person delivery service - our friendly team will contact you to book in a delivery day of your choice.
Some items come straight from our suppliers and may take a little longer to arrive. If that’s the case, we’ll make sure it’s clearly shown on the product page.
Returns
We really hope you love what you ordered, but if you change your mind, you’ve got 28 days from the day you bought it to return it.
Please make sure the item is unused and in its original packaging with any tags and labels attached. Please pop a note inside with your name and order details on it so we can locate your order.
We don’t offer free returns as we try to keep our prices as low as possible for everyone, depending on the size of the return we will deduct the cost from your refund. The returns process is really easy, you can post it back yourself or we can help you arrange a collection.
Once your return reaches our warehouse we'll process the refund back to your original payment method.
