Keep your horse warm, dry and comfortable when winter weather sets in with the Shires Tempest Original 300g Turnout Combo Rug. This practical horse rug combines generous insulation with dependable weather protection, making it a useful choice for colder days in the field.
With a 600 denier ripstop outer, the rug features ShireTex® fabric technology for a durable finish suited to everyday turnout. It’s waterproof and breathable, with taped seams and a DWR finish helping to keep wet weather out while maintaining comfort during wear.
A substantial 300g polyfill provides plenty of warmth when temperatures drop, while the combo neck design gives your horse added coverage from poll to tail. It’s also WarmaRug compatible, giving you extra flexibility when managing your horse’s layers through changeable winter conditions.
For a secure and comfortable fit, this Shires turnout rug features adjustable chest straps and an adjustable cross surcingle. A fillet strap helps keep the rug neatly in position, while the tail flap provides additional coverage at the rear.

We are pleased to offer FREE standard delivery when you spend over £75. For next day delivery, order before 6pm and select next working day delivery at the checkout.
If your order is under £75, a small delivery charge of £3.99, £5.99 or £9.95 will apply depending on the size and weight of the order.
Big and bulky items may be delivered in a couple of different ways:
On a pallet (kerbside only) - our courier will contact you to organise a day you'll be home for delivery.
With a 2-person delivery service - our friendly team will contact you to book in a delivery day of your choice.
Some items come straight from our suppliers and may take a little longer to arrive. If that’s the case, we’ll make sure it’s clearly shown on the product page.
Returns
We really hope you love what you ordered, but if you change your mind, you’ve got 28 days from the day you bought it to return it.
Please make sure the item is unused and in its original packaging with any tags and labels attached. Please pop a note inside with your name and order details on it so we can locate your order.
We don’t offer free returns as we try to keep our prices as low as possible for everyone, depending on the size of the return we will deduct the cost from your refund. The returns process is really easy, you can post it back yourself or we can help you arrange a collection.
Once your return reaches our warehouse we'll process the refund back to your original payment method.
