About Us

Carmarthen is one of the nine Charlies Stores, and at over 33,000 sq.ft., it’s one of the largest in the family. Since opening its doors in 2013, it’s been a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike, offering everything from everyday essentials to those “just what I was looking for” finds. With its wide aisles, well-stocked shelves, and friendly team, it’s the sort of place you can happily lose track of time in. 

 

Carmarthen is widely regarded as the oldest town in Wales, with roots stretching back to Roman times. Surrounded by the rolling hills and lush fields of the Welsh countryside, Carmarthen enjoys a prime position at the meeting point of the River Towy. It’s also perfectly placed for exploring some of the best landscapes in the country, from the wild beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park to the beaches and dramatic cliffs of the Pembrokeshire coastline.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Do you allow dogs in store? 

 

Only assistance dogs are permitted in store.

 

 Whilst we and many other people love dogs, it is important for us to consider the safety and comfort of all our customers. We also always ensure our policies are in line with health & safety guidelines, which unfortunately means that the store is not of a suitable layout to safely monitor both the number of dogs in store, and provide fair access for all customers. 

 

We do apologise for any inconvenience.

 

Do you have customer wheelchairs? 

 

Yes. Please ring the assistance bell at the entrance and a member of staff will be on hand to help you. 

 

Can I return or exchange an item?
