Crafted specifically for demanding, professional use, the MSA 300 chainsaw provides Stihl's most powerful cordless design yet whilst paired with a .325" inch RS Pro saw chain for fantastic cutting performance. Designed with two-handed operation, the compact and well-balanced design features a soft grip handle to ensure that it fits comfortably in your hand whilst aiding with a secure grip so that the tool can continue to be used in wet weather. To ensure more pleasant work and prevent the risk of muscle and joint strain, the chainsaw features an effective anti-vibration system which reduces the transmission of vibrations to the handle to ensure maximum comfort during use. The MSA 300 features the handy addition of intuitive controls to the handle, designed to provide you with useful information notifications such as chain speeds, status of the chain brake and temperature warnings on the convenient bright LED display - easily viewed whilst you work. The addition of a fleece filter ensures consistent performance of your MSA 300 - even in extreme conditions. The fine-pored filter material effectively prevents very fine dust and dirt from entering the power electronics and electric motor.

This chainsaw features three effective operating modes to make jobs even simpler. The 'eco' mode is designed to maximise the battery run time by operating the chainsaw with reduced power, whilst the 'Felling' mode remains at a low chain speed but uses the highest possible torque to enable you to saw as evenly and powerfully as possible. On the other hand, the 'delimbing' mode provides a very high chain speed to ensure the precisest of cuts. Each mode is easily selected through the use of the activation button.

The chainsaw's derating function provides you with additional performance monitoring to ensure minimal interruptions to your work. When combined with the integrated cooling air filters, the derating function protects your chainsaw from overheating by reducing the current. It will additionally notify you of very low battery power by a reduction in power, however, in both cases the functions allow you to finish a cut you have already started without switching off the engine.

Designed to be used with Stihl's most powerful AP battery - AP 500 S, the chainsaw's three operating modes ensure maximum battery efficiency as it tackles jobs such as felling, delimbing and cutting to length with up to 20-44 minutes of battery life - depending on the chosen speed setting. The AP 500 S's power laminate technology provides double the number of charging cycles compared to typical Stihl AP system batteries with cylindrical cells. This allows the battery to last for close to 10 years without the typical capacity loss of battery cells. With the addition of integrated Bluetooth interface, the battery can be easily managed like other power tools through Stihl Connected.
